Research

For my Capstone Project I will be conducting a lot of research into many different topics. These topics include the aspects of guitars, aspects of guitar stands, building materials and existing products. I will be looking at size and weight of many different types of guitars and on how guitars need to be stored. I will look at how guitar stands operate and the ideal type of neck holder, body holder, and overall design. I will research various building materials to determine the best material to use for my guitar stand. The material will have to be cheap, sturdy and easy to build with. Lastly I will look at existing guitar stands to see which ideas they have are good to use and which ideas to avoid. All of this research will help me create my guitar stand.

Project: Guitar Stand

I have chosen my capstone project. I will be designing a sturdy, cheap and efficient multi-guitar stand. On the side I am a guitar player and I have encountered numerous problems with my guitar stands, specifically not protecting guitars. As guitars are very expense you do not want them to be damage. Therefore a sturdy and efficient multi-guitar stand that is low cost is needed for guitar players.

First Presentation - Distracted Driving

On Friday September 27th the class made their first presentations on a topic that could be used for our projects. I presented on the issue of Distracted Driving. I felt that it went very well. I made my presentation adequate length and I put out the information that was needed to be included. The things I didn't do too well on were citing sources for facts/quotes I found. I also felt that my presentation of ideas was a little too sloppy. I learned that it isn't as hard as i thought to present on an idea and keep it within 3-4 minutes and also to cite sources and how to structure the presentation.

Capstone

This purpose of this site is to document my project which is being completed for my Senior Capstone Class at Wall High School. I will document each step of the process and update the site as new work is completed. Thank you!
